My Story

Lily Crumpton is a sculptor and fiber artist from Colorado who grew up surrounded by nature and wildlife. She spent six years as an assistant zookeeper at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where her passion for animals and conservation was fostered. Using her biological background she began making fantasy creatures in 2018. She earned her Bachelors in Fine Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design from the Fibers department. Studying textile development led to learning detailed hand manipulation techniques which are used to transform fabrics. Each piece of art is created to foster a love for the environment within its viewers and create future conservationists.

“Pooka was my childhood nickname and also happened to be the name for a shape-shifting creature from legend. When bringing my creatures to life, I aim to make them feel real enough to breathe, so they may evoke a love strong enough to inspire others to defend nature.”
